• Photos or images uploaded to create avatars
• Voice recordings or audio data
• Messages or communication content
• Location data
• Device identifiers or usage analytics
• Any other personal or sensitive information

How Your Data Stays on Your Device

All data created within SeeMeSay, including avatars, communication boards, and preferences, is stored locally on your device only. This information never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers or any third parties.

Face Data Collection and Use

SeeMeSay allows users to upload photographs containing faces ("Face Data") to create personalized talking avatar videos for speech therapy purposes. This section explains how we handle Face Data:

Collection and Purpose

• We collect Face Data only when you voluntarily upload a photograph to create a custom avatar
• Face Data is used solely to generate animated talking avatar videos that demonstrate proper pronunciation and speech patterns
• Face Data is not used for facial recognition, identification, or any purpose other than avatar creation

Storage and Retention

• On Our Servers: Face images you upload are stored in our secure cloud storage (Amazon S3) for as long as you maintain the avatar in your account. You may delete your avatars at any time, which will permanently remove the associated Face Data from our servers within 30 days
• We do not retain Face Data indefinitely. Face Data is stored only for the duration necessary to provide the avatar service to you

Third-Party Sharing

• We share Face Data with D-ID Ltd. ("D-ID"), our technology partner that provides the video generation service
• D-ID receives your Face Data solely to process and animate the avatar video
• D-ID does not permanently store your Face Data. According to D-ID's privacy practices, uploaded images are used only for processing the requested video generation and are not retained after processing is complete
• D-ID does not use your Face Data for training AI models, facial recognition databases, or any other purpose beyond generating your requested avatar video

Your Rights and Controls

• You may delete any avatar you have created at any time through the app's avatar management settings
• Upon deletion, your Face Data will be removed from our servers within 30 days
• You may contact us at hello@seemesayapp.com to request complete deletion of all your Face Data

Security

• All Face Data is transmitted using industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS)
• Access to Face Data is restricted to essential services required for avatar generation

Third-Party Services

In addition to the services mentioned above for custom avatar creation, SeeMeSay does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. Your use of the app is completely private and not tracked in any way.

Children's Privacy

SeeMeSay is designed for use by children and their families. We take children's privacy seriously and comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Since we do not collect any personal information, there is no data to share, sell, or use for any purpose.

Data Security

Because all data remains on your device, you maintain complete control over your information. We recommend following standard device security practices, such as using a passcode or biometric authentication, to protect your device.
